The Global Game Jam Is Nearly Here!

The Global Game Jam is nearly here! And if you’ve been thinking of entering this year, here are some extra reasons to take part.

First of all, it’s an excellent opportunity for both aspiring and practising game developers to spread their wings. Game jams offer a valuable space for experimentation, growth, and learning. Making a game over the course of a few days – whether alone or with friends – is a really fun challenge to take on.

And for jammers working in dot big bang, there are some extra perks!

We will be rewarding, celebrating, and promoting the games people make this year in a variety of ways.

1. First up: everyone who turns in a game at the jam will get this awesome Global Game Jam skin to wear in any game on dot big bang! Just join the dot big bang jam site and submit a game before the deadline to claim one.
2. And for the second year, all the GGJ entries made on dot big bang will be streamed by the renowned streamer Sean day[9] Plott! Last year’s wrap-up stream was very fun – check it out here. This year is another chance to get your game on the stream!
3. All the games made for the jam this year will get a unique custom booth in our Global Game Jam Hub, so players can find them easily.
4. Our favourite game jam entries will also get a coveted spot on the dotbigbang.com homepage, and be featured in a roundup post on this very blog!
