Updates & Give Aways!

It has been a busy week for dot big bang! Both Honeyvale and Elemental Beasts were updated, and a few new template toys were added as well. On Tuesday June third at 12:00 PM PDT, we will hold our Monthly Community Meetup Stream on Youtube to go over all the details. As part of that stream we will also give away a Tent House in Honeyvale and an Epic Water Turtle recipe in Elemental Beasts🥳

Can’t wait until then? Read on for the links to the patch notes!

Honeyvale has a brand new super green Gardening Career! The new tasks and rewards are listed in the Honeyvale Patch Changelogs 😁

Elemental Beasts also had a big update this week, adding the Water Beast! This update came with other goodies to find around the world, like pots and tablets full of loot, watershrines, and of course of of the enchanted water gear. Find the full list in the Elemental Beast Changelogs.

If you are more of a creator type, there has been a few updates to the featured templates bar. There is now a particle rainbow you can use to brighten up your builds as well as a giant Lava Beast. The Pride Emoji Override has also made its yearly return! If you are looking for template toys from other times of year, you can always find them in the Featured Templates game.

That’s it! Have fun playing and creating, and we hope to see you for the stream!

You can also check out some of your fellow survivor’s islands by jumping through the portals on the new traveler NPC’s boat! Find all the details on the Changelogs page.

Honeyvale Roleplay has been updated! The post office is now open for business! Write a letter to your friends or get to work at the newly opened post office located inside of Town Hall. You can also find new jewelry, outfits and cars available in the shopping center, a new house available in the housing store, and new quests in the Adventurer’s Guild journal! Get A Free Skin In The Pumpkin Art Jam!

Let’s do a spooky art jam! Take the voxel pumpkin and carve it (its hollow), paint it, give it a hat, or even animate it. Everyone who customizes the pumpkin object & enters it in the jam will be rewarded with a free skin to wear across all the games on dot big bang!

The deadline for submissions is Oct 27th. Skins will be sent out to all participants shortly after the art jam ends (give us a few days to hand them all out). After that, we’ll do a wrap-up stream to check out all the amazing pumpkin entries!

How To Enter

1. Make Your Pumpkin
Hit the Remix button (the cloud with an arrow, at the top left of the screen) on this pumpkin object. This creates your personal copy that you can paint, decorate, or animate – the decision is yours!

2. Make a Thumbnail
When your pumpkin is ready, open the save panel at the top right. Click New Thumbnail to take a picture of your pumpkin. Tip: move the camera for a better angle, and change the background using the color picker!

3. Name Your Pumpkin & Save
Finally, name your pumpkin. Check “Published”, and click Save. That’s it, you’re all done!

You can show us your work by posting a link in the #events channel on our Discord – and see the awesome pumpkins other people are making while you’re there! If you decide to build your own pumpkin rather than remixing, let us know in the discord or via comment on the showcase game so that we don’t miss your entry! Discord is also the place to ask questions about the Voxel Object Editor, or anything else that comes up. The development team is there, and will be happy to help.

Finally – we’ll host a wrap-up stream on YouTube when the jam is over to check out all the awesome things people made. Sub to our channel and turn on notifications to know when we go live.

Good luck and have fun creating!
