The Global Game Jam 2024 is open for registrations! The event that takes place Jan 22-28th, with different sites choosing different dates within that range. Entrants make a game in 48 hours in response to the theme, and submit it before the deadline.
If you’d like to take part in the jam, whether alone or as part of a team, you can sign up now – and dot big bang is hosting a digital jam site this year! Read on to find out how to sign up.
Here’s how to enter.
- Log in (or make an account) at globalgamejam.org.
- Search for the dot big bang Jam (or click here to go straight there) and click Join Site. On the next page, click Join Site again to confirm.
- That’s it! You’re registered for the jam!
We’ll be providing support for folks who join the dot big bang Jam Site, whether it’s finding teammates in the Discord Team Finder, helping fix bugs, giving advice on the tools, or just bouncing around ideas. So choose the dot big bang site when you register!
Creators of every experience level are equally welcome, from beginners to experienced devs. Lots of developers use game jams to prototype ideas, and many took their first steps into game development at the jam. It’s a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment to make games of all kinds.
Top entries will be featured on the dotbigbang.com homepage, and all the games will go on display in our GGJ Hub. We’ll also stream all the games made on dbb in a special wrap-up event after the jam.
