Join The Winter Obby Jam & Get A Teddy Bear Skin!

Winter is here, so we’re hosting a cozy Winter Obby Game Jam! Spend the cold months being creative, and make your very own winter-themed obstacle course, using our brand new Obby Kit. 

All participants will receive the amazing new teddy bear skin Huckleberry for joining in on the fun – and our favorite entries will be featured on the dotbigbang.com homepage! 

The jam runs from through the holidays, from December 8th-January 11th, so you have plenty of time to make your Winter Obby game. Read on to find out how to enter.

To get started, first make a remix of the Obby Kit. Next, fill out your game by placing platforms to allow a player to reach one of the distant islands. At the end of your course, you can place celebration rockets or text congratulating them on reaching the end. There is a teleporter you can copy and paste to let the players warp to the beginning and play again.

Creating winter

Wondering how to make it winter-themed? You can tint Voxel Objects to make them feel more wintery, replace them with your own icy art, or draw from the huge library of amazing community-made objects. You could also try adding things like particle snow, or winter themed Template Toys.

Once you’re happy with your entry, add “WJ2023” to the name of the game and hit “save” to enter. Make sure “published” is ticked, so we can see it. This game jam will run until January 11th, so make sure to get it finished off and entered by then.

As well as the reward of a free skin, our favorite entries will be featured on the dot big bang homepage – so feel free to go crazy and show us your most amazing obstacle course designs!

How to enter

1. Remix the Obby Kit
2. Use the kit as a base to make a winter themed obstacle course. You can use the parts provided, or make your own art.
3. Add “WJ2023” to the name of your game, and then save it (make sure Published is ticked!)
