Hope you’re feeling creative – because it’s time for a new dot big bang Remix-Off!
A Remix-Off is when we provide a base game or voxel object for you to remix and make into your own version. At the end, we’ll pick our favourites from all the entries posted in Discord or through a comment on the Remix Object. Everyone who enters will get an awesome cat skin – and the top three winners will get a special prize (more on that later!).
It’s a fun way to get some creative inspiration, practice making things in dot big bang, and show off your work. Interested? Read on to find out how to enter.

To get started, click here, and make a remix of this cat.

Making a remix is quick and easy. Just hit the remix button (the cloud with an arrow, shown here).
This will create your personal version. You can paint it, adapt it, animate it, or run wild and turn it into something crazy – the decision is yours!
When you’re finished, remember to save it, name it, and give it an eye-catching thumbnail. Here’s how to do that.

The save panel is at the top right of the screen. Open it up and click “New Thumbnail” to take a picture of your object. Tip: you can change the background using the color picker!
Click on the object’s title to name it. Make sure “Published” is ticked so we can see it. And of course –always remember to “Save”!
Finally, to enter your new creation in the Remix-Off, head over to our Discord and post it in the #events channel by the 27th of November. If you don’t have Discord access please post a comment on the Cat object so we know you want to take part.

That’s how to enter – but what about those prizes?
You’ll get an awesome free skin just for entering – and our top three entries will get an 🐱extra-special cat skin🐱 that’s exclusive to this competition! We’ll also show off all of the submissions in a showcase area that’ll be featured on the dot big bang homepage, and have a stream to announce the winners.
So, to recap:
- Make a remix of this cat – get creative, and make it your own!
- Post a link to your remix in the #events channel on Discord.
- Stay tuned for the results!
If you wanna show work in progress, or have any questions about using the Voxel Object Editor, you can ask in Discord, and we’ll be happy to help. Good luck, and have fun!
